It is full of “see illustration A” or B etc. It really becomes annoying and I have to ask WHY would this be read for audible without taking this into account. I had to stop listening in the last chapter as it was great that it was about meditation but too many times you had to look at something illustrated. Buy the book instead!

This is one of those books. Your going to want to skip back 30 seconds every 30 seconds. Would you consider the audio edition of Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself to be better than the print version? The amount of research that went into this book is impressive.

It’s hard to summarize, but the way he explains it along with all the studies he offers just really makes it all so much more clear. I mean, I’ve always been someone who has wanted to believe in the idea that our thoughts affect matter since both are truly energybut deep down, I always doubted it. I don’t doubt it for a second anymore and it’s because of the scientific studies presented in this book.
If there is ONE book I’d recommend when it comes to changing one’s habits in order to cultivate better ones, this is it. I loved it so much, I even bought his guided meditations which are also amazing and offered for a very reasonable price on his site. The only reason I gave a three star for the performance is because the narrator isn’t exactly incredibly engaging.
I mean he isn’t the worst I’ve heard, but definitely not one of the best. However, with that said, the information in this book is definitely interesting enough to keep one engaged!
The habit of being yourself is extraordinary work. It goes in depth, great tone, and great flow.
Must read for those into science and mysticism beautifully. Very happy this is out. I really tried but just couldn’t finish this book.
The biggest problem was the tue of examples. Seemingly every emotion, thought or brain state has been identified. Especially in the last section where he explains the meditation process. I simply lost track of the salient points and found myself telling him outloud, “enough with the examples”! I te about giving an annoying list of examples of this but I just can’t go back to the book. If you want your life to be changed for the positive, this is the book you need.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? Absolutely, this book is transformative. The book starts by teaching how the external world is a reflection of our breakingg world.
It tourself step by step instructions on how to transform ourselves to become a new YOU. I then provides step by step instructions on how to achieve this goal through meditation.
